Shipping time is the time that an e-commerce platform takes to deliver the product to the customer once the order is placed successfully. The shipping time is an essential aspect of e-commerce as its longevity can negatively affect the brand value of the platform.
There is no standard shipping time and the average delivery time can change based on the industry, platform and the nature of the product. While some products need lesser time for delivery, some can also take weeks. But, if an e-commerce platform has lesser shipping time compared to other competitors who are in the same vertical, then the platform can gain an edge in the market.
