Design’N’Buy at DRUPA 2016, Germany

The year started with relatively great buzz than any other year for Design’N’Buy since it’s our first DRUPA. Preparations for DRUPA had started around 4 to 5 months back. All the teams including Marketing, Projects, Support, Sales and Product Development had their share of work for DRUPA and all did it really well. I thought of summing up entire DRUPA journey with this post – how we started, what we planned and what we achieved.

The Pre-DRUPA Phase

Preparations for DRUPA went on full wing till the last day of beginning of exhibition. Reaching out to agencies for getting best of the booth designs, developing marketing inputs for sales team, gathering information about different exhibitors in DRUPA, researching visitors’ profile, collecting databases of printers for email marketing, product engineering with addition of new features, sales effort to increase customer interest in product…..Phew we did it all !!

All of these efforts combined, formed a base to create structure of successful DRUPA for us. Each one of the above listed task has its own complexities involved but this created a greater synergy into our teams. Everyone worked more closely and this lead to successful DRUPA 2016 for us.

The DRUPA Phase

The event started on 30th May 2016 and those 11 days were absolute fantastic with lots of meeting, demos being conducted our booth. Information exchange was continuous process throughout the DRUPA and witnessed lots of advancements and new technologies in printing and packaging industry.

The team of 7 members equipped with latest web to print technologies entertained more than 1100 visitors in DRUPA. The visitors came from more than 16+ geographies and thus demos are conducted in German, French and Spanish languages for them to get better understanding about tools and web to print technologies.

Apart from this, we initiated partnership and collaboration talks with some good names in printing software industry and signed 5 deals during the show.

The Post-DRUPA Phase

We have more learning about customer, competitor and industry after DRUPA. The post DRUPA phase will last for us in terms of more contribution to the printing industry and enriching our products to serve our customers in most competitive ways.
